Established by the Cabinet Office in 2003, the Advisory Panel on Public Sector Information (APPSI) is a Non-Departmental Public Body of the Ministry of Justice.
Its role is:
On 29 September 2008, APPSI responded to the Department for Community and Local Governmen’s consultation paper on Local Authorities (Charges for Property Searches) Regulations 2008
APPSI’s report to the EC and its answers to the EC’s consultation questions to inform the Review of the Directive were submitted to the EC on 31 July 2008.

The Panel will meet several times a year, both in full session and as sub-committees. Minutes of these meetings will be available on this website. It will report annually to ministers, and will also produce periodic reports on issues concerning Crown copyright and the re-use of public sector information. Press Notices will keep the media informed of significant events and developments.
